    Hello All,
I am creating a form that contains a list box. When I make a choice from the list box it updates all the records with the same choice for example if my listbox contains the values:
    Apples
    Oranges
    Bananas
and I choose Oranges on the first record all records change to Oranges. How can I stop this? I used the wizard to create the list box and I am using Access 2003

Thanks for any assitance you can provide

At first glance, that's a weird one!

Is the form Single View or Continuous View? If the latter, then yes, it will give the symptoms you describe. List boxes do not work in anything like the same way as combo boxes. I'd suggest you consider changing to a combo box. Much easier to control in these circumstances.

    Regards,

Thanks for the reply, I changed the list box to a combo box and changed the property to Single form and it's still updating all the records.

    Thanks

Is the List box / Combo Box actually Bound to a Field see its Control Source property?

If it is NOT (if the control source is BLANK) then you would see this behavior.

Are you able to post a cut down version of the database with the behaviour you observe?
    Regards
    John
