Standard language in Power Point (PP2000 9.0.2716)

How do set the language to e.g. English and keep it that way the next time I open PP or another slide.

I have set the language through Tools/Language and chosen Default... , but this does not seem to work the next time I open a slide.

Regards
Bj

Thanks a lot, Yes you are right, I do not like it.

Anyway it is better to know than search for solutions in vain.

Thanks again.

Re: Standard language in Power Point (PP2000 9.0.2716)

Finally found Microsoft's non-answer for this, Q241173. It doesn't say that it applies to PP2002, now maybe there's a real reason to "upgrade." Can someone with PP2002 see if you can really set the default language? In the US, type "C'est" on a title slide. It should be underlined as misspelled. Now change the default language to French for the entire presentation and subsiquent presentations. Finally, close PP and reopen with a new presentation and see if the default language is still French. Merci! --Sam
