    I have a firewall problem with Win7.

I have a MySQL database running on my win7 box, and I am trying to get Crystal reports to generate reports from that DB. Crystal is running on an XP machine, and is on the same network.
I Have the odbc connection setup using the MySQL connector. When I totally disable the FIrewall on Win7 - the ODBC works, and I can generate the reports. Turn it back on and nothing. I have setup 2 rules for port 3306 (TCP & UDP) on the incoming side, but I am still blocked. 3306 is the port that Mysql talks on. Do I need to setup outgoing rules too?

Are you sure you set the firewall on the Windows 7 machine to allow port 3306?

Are you sure the firewall rule matches the network type for your network?
