New threats to Internet Explorer 6 and 7
By Susan Bradley
The most important news this Patch Tuesday was not about a new patch, but the lack of one.
Microsoft announced that it is investigating public reports of new security threat to Internet Explorer 6 and 7. No IE patch came with the advisory, but the company did include a workaround.

Beware the MicrosoftFixIt 50386 for the IEPEERS.DLL file as linked from this article to Microsoft. I applied this fix on both mine & my wife's computer and forgot about it. Several days later I realized we could no longer print from Internet Explorer (v.7) nor from Outlook!
Only after much Googling and research did I stumble accross the FixIt file I downloaded, only to remember it. I went back to the Microsoft site and unistall the Fix. Now I can print again!
Microsoft broke the fix!
