just got a new machine , transferred all my video files to the new hard drive only to realize my mpeg thumbnails arent showing previews, just the mpeg icon. Going from a 32bit vista machine to a 64 bit windows 7 machine . Mpeg files play perfectly, they just dont show thumbnails. Yes in folder options I unchecked show icons never thumbnails and my folders properties are customized for video not pics or general options.I have vlc player, divx codecs installed & still no thumbnails for my mpeg files. Any thoughts on this, thank you.

It's been relegated to the preview pain off to the right. I've never realy missed it in XP.

Check Control Panel/Performance information and Tools/Adjust Visual Effects. Ensure the Show thumbnails instead of icons under the Visual Effects tab is checked.
