I was downloading a database and the entire text came through in one cell (see attached file). Using text to columns, Id have to go through over 600 records to seperate into individual cells.

Can I separate the text to columns an easier way? See attached picture for the way I need it to look.

    Thanks in advance.

How did you get the content into Excel? There must be a way to at least get the information on separate rows. What is the source?

The site where the dbase is located has an option to download to Excel. It puts it in this single cell. I wish I could download it to a CSV of text file, but I cant.

I would report the problem to whomever manages the database. The problem seems to be on their conversion of the data into a form for excel.

It is much easier to have the database put into the correct form than to try and fix their mistake later...

Can't you use a web query from Excel to pull in the data?
