    Winfax

Anyone out there an expert with Winfax? We have it on our system which works with Propack and program written with crystal reporting. In the setup we have disabled the auto receive, but once the controller is started, it resets itself to auto receive. It then locks up sometimes too. Any suggestions?

Used to use it, but I may be a bit rusty now.

I only ever had experience with NT4, and problems like this were usually caused by the need to be logged in as Administrator to make the changes stick.
I've come across a few KB articles - they may not be the direct answer but may give you some ideas:
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/faxprod.nsf/pfdocs/1999033011201004>WinFax PRO answers all incoming calls, including voice calls</A>
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/faxprod.nsf/pfdocs/1999060212021804>Cannot disable automatic receive when Internet Fax is the active fax device</A>
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/faxprod.nsf/pfdocs/1998110215353904>Automatic receive is set to three or more rings, but answers calls after two</A>
