Recently I received a new laptop at my place of employment with Windows XP. Whenever I reboot a pop-up appears on the Start button saying that the Start button can be used to start up programs, etc. Whenever I print a document a pop-up appears saying that it has printed to the printer along with the printer id.

How do I turn these off??? There must be a way as I have Windows XP on my desktop at work as well as at home and I don't recive these information pop-up notifications. I have searched in Windows help but all I get is information on Windows Explorer pop-ups which is not what I'm looking for. Maybe they're not called Windows pop-ups but if not I don't what they are called to search for information. (Could be a case of that old saying about Microsoft Windows operating systems... you need to know the answer to your question before you can search for it in Windows help ).

    Just click fix this problem..

There are ways to do it manually, but this is easier..
