I use some legacy problems that would not install to autorun themselves in Win7. I tried putting a shortcut in All Programs/Startup folder and they still would not work. Then I altered the UAC setting to Allow all and they work fine.

Hi Ken
Your assumption is correct, but your suggestion does not work for me. I have "Opened as administrator" on the .exe as well as on the shortcut but it does not get Saved after a reboot, and so does not Start on boot up.
Am I doing it properly?
TIA
Andy.
