I use some legacy problems that would not install to autorun themselves in Win7. I tried putting a shortcut in All Programs/Startup folder and they still would not work. Then I altered the UAC setting to Allow all and they work fine.

Hi and welcome. I assume you want them to run without having to alter UAC. One wasy it to run them as admin. You can right click the exe file and run as admin. Let us know if that doesnt work

    Hi Ken

Your assumption is correct, but your suggestion does not work for me. I have "Opened as administrator" on the .exe as well as on the shortcut but it does not get Saved after a reboot, and so does not Start on boot up.

    Am I doing it properly?

    TIA
    Andy.
