    Pivot table problem (97)

    Hi to all of you,

    Is it possible to display a pivot table in column 'a4 'instead of 'a1' if I have fields in the pivot table page field. If that is possible , is it possible to display to pivot table name in column 'a1'

    Cheers

    To move a pivot table, you can either select the entire range containing the table and cut and paste it to a new location, or, you can right click on the table, hit 'Wizard', hit 'Next' once and change the cell reference shown.

    You can't display the name of a pivot table in a sheet with out the use of VBA. If you know VBA, you could paste the following function into a module in your workbook...

    <pre>Function PivotName(range As Excel.range) As String
    Application.Volatile
    PivotName = range.PivotTable.Name
    End Function
    </pre>

    and then write

    =pivotname(A4)

    in cell A1
