    G'day,
I have always had this problem with my desktop. Whenever I request a re-boot, the PC powers down but will not re-boot. I have to press the power button to start the PC again.
Is there a setting in the BIOS that causes this, or do I have a problem with the mainboard?
My mainboard is an ASUS P5NSLI
    Thanks

I had a PC that would not restart. It always hung up during the process. I always had to hold the power button or do a shutdown then repower instead of restart. never did figure out why. Continued even with a new OS. Just some type of hardware problem that was not worth spending any more time trying to solve.

Have you ever updated your ASUS BIOS?
