    Had something strange occur yesterday.

Needed to look-up something in IE8 Help, clicked on "Help" in the Menu Bar (yes, I set the Menu Bar to visible in all my MS programs...)

But instead of getting the expected "Internet Explorer Help", the Windows "Help and Support Center" opened, with "Internet Explorer" as the search term, and a list of possible IE topics underneath, (none of them having anything to do with my original issue, but that's almost irrelevant.)

Been running IE8 for over a year now, but just migrated the system to Win7 (Home Premium, 64-bit) in February 2010. I think this may have been the first time I tried "IE Help" since then.

Can't figure out a) what happened (minor importance), or b) how to set it back the way it's supposed to be! (major importance).

    Any insights/suggestions/SWAGs would be welcomed.

    tia,

If what you are seeing is the same (or almost the same) as the attachment then that is the way it is supposed to be now. Help for anything that is considered to be part of the OS has/is being migrated to Windows Help & Support. You need to try a search in Windows Help & Support.
