    Hello All,
While exploring the "web" with my Vista SP-0 (no updates or patches) machine i came across this ... Using the file manager 7- Zip (free whatever) you can use all the free Windows 7 wallpaper .themes extensions in Vista. Also using the (free whatever) slide show programs available @ http://www.labnol.org/software/windo...d-vista/11205/ you can make "desktop slide shows" just like "7" " Johns Background Switcher" works ok ,but i tried and use "Desktop SlidesSetup"@ WallpapersWide.comhttp://wallpaperswide.com/ (also free whatever) So far i like it better, as you can pause the show on an individual photo if you want or get burned out on all the changes.... Have fun using any of your own photos as well Regards Fred

Update: I have changed back to "Johns Switcher" as "Wallpapers" seems to have a start up issue with my "OS" ( screen wallpaper goes initially black at start until program catches up )"Johns" does not. Also found that Johns does have a pause button.. if needed.

    Fred,

Win 7 does have the slide show available. Right click on the Desktop and choose Personalize/ Desktop Backgrounds. Set it up with all your pics or the Windows pics or whatever. To get all the regional pics in one folder go to:

C: Windows/Globalization/MCT, open each MCT folder and copy the pics to the MCT-US (or whatever)/United States folder. This gives many more of these landscapes when you choose United States in the Personalize setting. (I hope this is understandable. Once you install Win 7 and look at these folders you will understand)
