    Hello there,

Used www.decrapifier.com as per "Windows 7 for Dummies" to clean up some unwanted trialware and now when I log on I get a "mwlDaemon.exe - System Error" box.

It tells me that "sysenv.dll is missing. Try re-installing the program to fix the problem."

I am very much a novice with a computer and am unsure as to what is my next step?

    Any ideas?

    thanks............

Looks like it's MyWinLocker file encryption software from EgisTec.

Reinstalling the program and then uninstalling it in either safemode and removing it as a startup item may resolve the bad uninstall.

    Uninstalling
    NOTE
If the program in question has a system startup component it will be necessary to disable that first prior to any attempt to uninstall
    .
    msconfig>>Startup>>disable mwlDaemon.exe

I have always had a theorem I go by, if an app will not uninstall properly, then it is not an app I wish to have on my PC. Have you tried a 3rd party uninstaller as well? I use Revo Uninstaller with great success. It is not 100%, but is highly rated and does a good job. Might be worth a try before the manual uninstall Clint proposed. If it does not work, the manual uninstall looks promising.
