I have a list of 950 entries in an Excel sheet, I want to sort them using two critria, City and Address. The city sort works fine, however within each city the address sort starts over somewhere in the middle of the sort. I have made sure that everything is exactly the same in the address, I have even moved some of the address from the second part of the sort up to the first part of the sort and resorted them. It places them in the bottom half of the sort again. It doesn't matter how many addresses are in the sort. It will place them in two sorts, I have one sort with only 10 to 15 addresses, two or three of them will be in a second sort.

If they are not sorting in order, then the addresses are not the same. There must be some other character that is different. Can you post a sample workbook?

I wonder if some of the addresses have a leading space?

    Blaine,

You're also going to have problems if the house number is part of the street address because text fields are sorted left to right. See graphic.
