    I have been trying for over a week to install IM on my Windows 7 OS 64-bit. This error message appears every time: Error 2738 Could not access VBScript run time for custom action. I registered vbscript.dll from a command prompt and it registered successfully;

    I need serious help with this and would appreciate all the help available.

    Thanks you in advance.

    Exactly what command did you use to register the DLL? What folder were you in when you executed the command?

    Ron, the string in the article failed to work, a message said: System unable to find. I used the string with and without reg delete, I tried without reg delete and the quote marks. I copied and pasted to be sure it was entered correctly.
    The string was different from the one I used before, but the regsvr32 was the same. Of course I didn't get that far. I'm saving the page just in case I have to use it again..

    Am I doing something wrong?
