Thread: 'Sleep' issues

    ..i suppose i could have just used the Power Options in Control Panel but i downloaded freeware called CO2 that sets these options.

    say i set the monitor for 30 minutes

    then the hard drives for 60 minutes

    then set Sleep for 90 minutes.

    invariably if i go beyond 90 minutes the computer will not respond at all to any key
    and i have to reboot..

    another issue is if it does wake up and i see the internet..invariably the modem has to be reset..

    how can i prevent these issues?

    Uhhhhhhhhhh MAYBE don't use a 3rd party program and use the tools Windows itself provides.

    Just my 2 cents

    when i used CO2 it seemed all it really did was set the Control Panel Power Options for you
    but i did notice in the latter that there was no figure at all in the Disk option so maybe problems there

    i might add that i changed Sleep to Never and still the disk would not wake up..

    i have now uninstalled CO2 and we will see if the problem returns
