Hi guys, I wonder if one of you good people can assist me. I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for by searching unfortunately. On our exchanger server we have a public folder called Helpdesk which 4 of us has access to. If an email arrives in the folder we all see the email as UNREAD. If one of us opens the email it shows in that person's view as READ but the rest of us still see it as UNREAD. Is there anything we can do so that if one of us opens the email then the folder shows it to us as READ? We don't have to refresh the folder to see the emails coming in. At the moment if one of us opens the message we immediately then delete it so that no-one else duplicates the task.

Any help appreciated - even if it's to say that it cannot be done !!

    Many thanks

    Regards

    Laura C

I don't think you can do what you want with public fodlers. See Description of the "Maintain per-user read and unread information" setting in Exchange Server 2003.

Hi Joe, thanks so much for that. You're right it doesn't look like we can do it.

    Thanks again
