I have two options that fail to "Stick" when I set them in Outlook 2007.

The first is the QuickClick category. I'm pretty sure this used to work, but now when I change it the change stays in place until I exit Outlook, but when I reopen it, it goes back to what it was before.

The second is the option to search subfolders in Advanced Find (vice Instant Search). Every time I do an advanced find I have to click on Browse and check the Search subfolders box. I pretty sure this is just a "feature" in 2007, but I wanted to know if anyone knew a solution.

That seems a bit odd - the category assigned to the Quick Click feature seems to stick for me, although the display in setting the option appears to be purple rather than red even though the setting is red.

And the search does seem to work that way - you have to check the folders button each time you used Advanced Find. I frankly find the Instant Search more useful, as I am often searching across multiple PST files that go back to 1998, and the Advanced Find will only search one folder at a time.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The Quick Click category used to stick. I was wondering if MS issued a "fix" that broke it.

With Advanced Find it is much easier to specify a search on one PST file if that's all you want (and it often is for me). You can search across multiple files and include subfolders in the search with Advanced Find - you use the browse button to select the files/folders. My heartburn is that it will not remember the check for "Search Subfolders." I believe that should be a default that the user can change (as it was with Outlook 2003. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

NOTE: You must have either SP-1 or SP-2 installed to use that fix.
