so... i'm using a windows scheduled task (Win 2k3 srv) to run a vbs that then calls an xls 2007 macro (vbs enables xls macros upon opening).

the macro connects to sharepoint 2007 and does all sorts of nasty stuff to some documents (check out, add data, check in).

the path to the sharepoint document library (in vba macro, mind you) is currently a UNC path - although I've also tried using a mapped drive with similar success (or lack thereof).

needless to say, the task wont successfully run when i am not logged into the computer. i would really like it to.

    can you help?

    thanks in advance.

this has nothing to do with the scheduled task. the authentication window pops when workbooks.cancheckout is called

I'm not sure of the best forum for this question (e.g., is it an Excel question, or is it a Sharepoint question)? Anyway, I modified the subject line to mention those product to maybe attract more interest.
