I rely heavily on the ability to crop imbedded objects inserted to powerpoint presentations originating from Excel and Visio. Up until recently I have been using Office 2003, and have only now switched to 2007. Nevertheless, I must revert to 2003, because I am unable to crop the imbedded objects heretofore croppable using early versions than 2007. Absolutely critical to my work. Have I overlooked the functionality? Is it possible that this feature has been eliminated? What about PPT 2010? Has this feature been restored?

    Have you tried
Right-Clicking on the object and choosing Worksheet Object, Edit. It should get a stripey border around it. Resize the object until only the part you want displays. Click outside the object to complete.
