When I select a file to download using (in my case ) Windows 7 the download dialogue box opens. It displays the detail of the download. The speed, file size etc.
Please tell me is it in mega bits or mega bytes?

The file size is presented in megabytes. The download speed is presented in megabits.

Create a fresh drive image before making system changes, in case you need to start over!
