How do you insert a field in the Excel footer other than the date, page, file names that appear in the ribbon? I want to insert fields from the document Properties as I used to do with 2003.

Click the bottom right corner of the Page Setup group to bring up the old Page Setup dialog.

I guess I wasn't clear. I'm not referring to Page Setup. In Excel 2003 I could go to the menu, select Insert then Field and open up a dialog box that let me insert a field code into a text area. I need to know how to get there in 2007.

    Chuck,
I cannot find anywhere within Excel 2003 to be able to insert the fields such as the author or other document properties into the footer.

I do see the functionality in Word, but not Excel. In Word 2007, it is located on the Insert tab in the Font group as part of Quick Parts

You're right . I must be confusing it with Word.
