    I have attached my workbook and hope that someone can help.

    1. I have a button that is supposed to save the data to a text file - date attached to the name of the file - it doesn't seem to work and i don't know why - i had it working and tried to add the date and now it won't work??? Also since i have two tabs - is it possible to put the name of the different tab into the name of the text file as well?

    2. I would like to copy the data to the text file and then delete out that data so that the next time the save button is hit they are only saving the most current data entered - any suggestions?

    I was able to get the date to work. I also just put a different button on each tab and hardcoded the name of the worksheet into the path of the text file. Probably not the best way to accomplish this but it works.

    The only thing i still need help is how to delete the data once it is copied to the text file????

    Any help is appreciated.

    You can get the name of the spreadsheet from "activesheet.name".
    Data can be deleted by "activesheet.usedrange.delete".
