What is the best way to uninstall a program that does not appear in the Add or Remove Programs window of Control Panel? It does not appear in Revo Uninstaller either.

    Hi philkiwi,

Apparently the program is not really installed as it has not registered itself as a typically installed software program. Some programs are like that. Sysinternals Process Explorer is an example. Such programs are stand alone executables.

    What program is it specifically?

You should be able to delete the program when you locate its folder like you would any file folder.

Gerald, you are just too fast for me, or you get up much earlier than me on weekends. I also believe you can just delete the programs that are not registered and do not show up in Add/remove programs. Since these executables do not register, they will have no leftover stuff that a program like Revo should be used to uninstall.

Ted, I am usually a day late and a dollar short. By the time I get to a lot of threads, I see you've been there and moved on!

I did not sleep well last night, so I gave up about 4:30 AM EST.
