    Hi,

I am using Word 2007 (Windows XP). Each time I attempt a Find and Replace, I get the message Word has finished searching the document. The search item was not found. This happens whether I use the shortcut keys Ctrl + H or the Find and Replace buttons in the Editing Group of the Home tab. I cannot figure out what the problem is. Thank you for any help you can give me to correct this problem.

This often happens to me when I forget to clear the settings after using match case and such. In the Find dialog, click the More button and clear the checkmarks from the boxes. If this doesn't work, does closing and reopening Word help?

Thanks a lot, Pam. I cleared the checkmarks and Find and Replace is working just fine now. Have a very good one.
