The first pre-beta version of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) has leaked, and as promised there are no noticeable functional changes. Here are some screenshots of the Setup experience. (By Paul Thurrott)

From what I've read SP-1 will only be a patch rollup. No new features other than device support or something similar.

I had heard that Service Pack 1 will allow Windows XP Mode even if the computer's processor doesn't support Hardware-Assisted Virtualization.
Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes, I've heard that too, I don't think its new though. Unless a few months ago was new.
I can easily see this thing also included in SP-1.

It is already available as long as you are running Win 7 Pro, Ultimate, or Enterprise. See Windows Virtual PC: FAQ for more information on XP mode.

Note: There is a link to an additional patch for XP mode to allow usage without hardware virtualization at the link Ted supplied earlier.

OK. I didn't realize the patch for that had already been released. Thanks.
