    Hi all,

    I need to back up some files from server 2 to server 1 using scheduled tasks. I have created a folder on server 1 and shared it> I then Logged into Server 2 and mapped the shared folder. How can I run a schedules task(need a batch file maybe ) To copy the a folder in server 2 and save it on server 1(shared folder).

    Sorted guys did it with a Microsoft windows backup. all done

    Use RoboCopy instead, much better. Remember to turn off the retry option.

    Hi again,

    I am having a problem running a scheduled tasks with NTBackup, the backup job is scheduled to run every night at 9 pm but it failsafter a few minutes., but when I run the backup manullay it works fine:
    see the attached error.

    Have you set a user and password for the scheduled backup job to use?

    It's not really an answer to the question you asked, but several years ago I was delighted to leave the labyrinthine complexity and obscurity of NTBackup command line parameters by installing BackupAssist to front-end NTBackup...
