I currently have three Event Log Warnings on Win7, I would be most grateful if someone could shed some light on them please:

    Event 101 MsMpEng.exe
    Event 100 Start Up
    Event 200 Shutdown

What are they, should I be concerned about them, how to resolve or stop them appearing again.

Start by managing what processes are initiated when you boot your system. Use a tool such as Autoruns for Windows or WhatInStartup - Disable/delete programs at Windows startup. Note: Autoruns produces an enormous amount of information. To begin you should be interested in the Logon tab.

When there are shutdown issues with Windows often Windows is waiting on a service or hardware component to respond. This thread, even though it says it is for Windows 7, may be of some help - Long Shutdown Time on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Also, see Multiple Errors, need help to resolve for more suggestions.
