I cannot get any .pdf's to open. I get a dark blue screen with things like "Extras Library, Pictures + Videos" and on and on. I tried the Default Programs but no joy. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have a .pdf reader installed? The most common is Adobe. (Uncheck the "Google Toolbar' if you don't want it installed as well).
Create a fresh drive image before making system changes, in case you need to start over!

Yes, Acrobat and Adobe. And I also went through the Default Programs. But when I got back from work my wife had fixed it. Don't understand it.

    Thanks for the help, too.

Umm, sorry, but she has forgotten. My wife is a very good helper but she does things that I often don't understand, then she goes on to the next. I wasn't around when she did it, because I was so angry that I couldn't do it myself. Thank God she married me! Keeps me well in order.
