Hi, all: I recently upgraded 2 computer to Windows 7; one from XP, the other from Vista. Somehow in the chaos, I can't find the files where my contacts are stored. (I have the contacts) Would like to copy them from one computer to the other, but just can't find them. They are not in User\Username\contacts, not in Program Files\Windows Live\Mail, and not in the Windows Live Mail folder. Can anyone help? It's driving me crazy!

Did you perform an upgrade installation or a custom (clean) installation?

Custom (clean) install: search for the "Windows.old" folder that can get created with a custom install.
If you did not make allowances to back these things up before hand, there may be a good chance they are lost.
If you have a Windows Live Hotmail account then your contacts may be stored online as well.
    DRIVE IMAGING
Invest a little time and energy in a well thought out BACKUP regimen and you will have minimal down time, and headache.

Build your own system; get everything you want and nothing you don't.
    Latest Build:

If you mean your email contacts, login to it directly then use export/import as .csv files.
