    I have recently had the same problem on a laptop and on my desktop. Audio/music disk will play, but data disk crashes and BSOD comes up. Error message shows as follows:

    8E/C00005/ox806E694F/OXB3283OEO/000000000000/END. My other slot operates normally non burner. Similar situation with the laptop.

    Any clues to explain this and fix it?

    If the same thing happens on both computers I would suspect the disks. Can you test on another PC?
