What could be causing the problem. Does anyone know about the Xtreme N Dir-655? What am I doing wrong. I am running W 7 Pro 32bit. I have the Gig router, along with gig switches. My computer is a gig port. I must have to do some setting changes somewhere but am not sure where. Anyone?

What does your connection properties show for connection speed on the PC?

I would suspect a cable issue. 100mb only uses 2 pair on a 4 pair cable. Gig uses all 4 pair. Gig seems to find problems with cabling that worked perfect with 100mb connections.

If the PC is plugged into a Gig switch and still does not show that it is connected at Gig speed, the problem is with the switch, cable or network card, not with the router.

    Hallo!
I think perhaps it is the same problem i had with a Dlink.
    Try the following:
Go into the Device Manager and delete the net adapter active against the router and reboot.
The next time windows starts the net adapter will hopefully negotiate the speed with the router.

    Regards
