I will be upgrading to Windows Server 2008 R2 soon, and I want to have a current and handy scripting book. I imagine what I may be looking for is a Windows Powershell book reference guide.

I already have the Windows Server 2008 Resource Kit which includes one book called the "Windows PowerShell Scripting Guide".

Is there is a comparable scripting book to the style of Windows Admin Scripting Little Black Book, Third Edition which instead covers Windows Vista and Windows 7? I used that book for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP scripting and found it very useful.

    Thanks for your recomendations,

    Peter

You ought to start looking at Scripting with Windows PowerShell. There is a LOT of information there.

I have PowerShell 2.0 Administrator's Companion. This is a fine small reference. Also: PowerShell 2.0 Best Practices.
