    Hello,

I have a spreadsheet with numbers in column A that goes down 50,000 rows. I need to add text in front of the numbers. The text will be the same for each row. If A1 has 1235 in it, I need it to look like score1235 by adding the word "score". The problem is I need to do this for all 50,000 rows.

    Any ideas on this?

    Thanks,

    Mike

In a new column, concatenate the word with the number as follows:

    ="score "&TEXT(A1,"#0")

And copy down. Then copy the new column contents and paste them as values over the source column, then delete the column created temporarily.

Hello - This should also work in the new column
    ="score"&A1

Then follow John's instructions for copy and do "Paste Special".
