More than 2 DL's at the same time? (IE 6)

I've noticed that since version 5.5, I haven't been able to download more than 2 files at the same time, and if I am downloading 2 files, my web browsing slows to a crawl.

I think there used to be an option in the advanced panel in earlier IE versions that allowed more than 2 downloads, but I can't find one now.

    I'm using a cable modem so the slowdown is diving me crazy. <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15>

Does anyone know if there is a registry setting I can change or something?

    Thanks!

<P ID="edit" class=small>Edited by DaveA on 01-Oct-01 09:08.</P>Daisy, you may find the answer in a piece I wrote for Woody's Windows Watch (as the font Pharos) - Vol 4 No 7
    It's at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.woodyswatch.com/windows/archtemplate.asp?4-07>http://www.woodyswatch.com/windows/a...plate.asp?4-07</A>
Works for me on both IE 5.5 and now 6.0

    Mr. McDonell,

    Thanks so much! That's exactly what I was looking for. <img src=/S/yep.gif border=0 alt=yep width=15 height=15>

    With much appreciation,
