I just searched on this lounge and did not find an answer.
I checked Opera help and it was NO help.
I posted on Opera forums and have not yet received an answer.

I have used Opera for about 2 years and loved it.
Some time ago I upgraded to 10.53 on an XP machine and have no serious problems except for BOOKMARKING.
WHY they changed it, I have no idea.

In the older versions of Opera, I went to a webpage and clicked on BOOKMARKS > BOOKMARK PAGE > saved it or more likely CREATED a folder and saved the webpage to THAT FOLDER.
    NO MORE.
NOW when I click on BOOKMARK PAGE, a PROPERTIES page pops up and I can't find any way to save the site to a folder I THEN create or which I have created in the past.

I see a SHOW ON PERSONAL BAR button which I know what that means.
I see a SHOW ON PANEL button which I have no idea.
I went to HELP on the PANEL topic and did not understand it.

All I want to do is do what I did before = bookmark a page with the options to CREATE a folder or save to an EXISTING FOLDER.

Computers are not my generation........I am just an experienced newbie.

    Thanks in advance.

In the latest version of Opera, I can click on the red Opera button thing, and get to the usual bookmarks menu that way, like this.

Or I can right click on a page, choose Bookmark page... and get this dialog.

Do either or both of those work for you?

I hope this comes out in the right place in the thread.

I finally got an answer from Opera forum.
Apparently you get the BOOKMARK PROPERTIES window when the page is already bookmarked.
No idea WHERE in my tons of bookmarks it is saved, but when I pulled up a site that I had NOT bookmarked, I got the normal popup window with choices for making a folder and saving it in bookmarks.

Just wanted to pass on info that others might benefit from.

    Thanks to any responders.
