I'm running Vista on my laptop. When I reboot, and get to the signin screen, the Administrator "user" does not show up, and I need to be in Administrator mode to install software. How do I get it to re-appear, please?
    THanks

All you need to be is a member of the Admin group, you do NOT need to be logged in as "the Administrator".

But you MAY, need to right the setup file and then select "Run as Administrator".

On the Vista Home version, one MUST boot into the safe mode to login as the Administrator, and this would NOT help you in installing any program.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
