    Hi,

I am having trouble adding a 3rd LCD to my Win 7 PC.

I currently am running 2 LCDs via a nVidia video card, a 7000 series. I wanted to add a 3rd LCD via the on-board video, however the machine won't recognize it nor let me extend the desktop to it (cannot save display changes).

    Here is what I know:

The LCD works. It is plugged in to the power & the computer.
The on-board video is turned on in BIOS
I took the resolution of the current monitors down to 800x600
I saw a registry change that looked more toward getting a laptop up as a second monitor, so I chose to ignore that.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I do NOT think that both on board and a graphics card are support by most mother boards.
I think you need another separate graphics card.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I also believe the graphics card disables the on board graphics. I am unsure if there is a method to re-enable this with a graphics card installed. A second graphics card in a PCI slot should do the trick.

I think you may be right. The on-board video does not appear in the device manager, not even as generic vga adapter.

    Thank you.
