I propose a contest. Let us see who can find the best video, recording, or description, or any combination thereof, of Sumer Is Icumen In.

I guess a real contest would have a deadline and a poll to see who won, but this is just a fun thing that many might enjoy. Loungers with children might discover things that even very small children might like. It could even be educational (all ages).

I don't believe I've ever heard about this prior to reading your post. I looked around a bit and most of the amateur videos
I found weren't of sufficient quality to warrant posting. After reading the following post on Wikipedia I was pleasantly
surprised with the information supplied; "Sumer Is Icumen In" is a very old English song which can be sung as a round. It is the oldest example of a round that we know of. The composer is unknown. It was written down around the middle of the 13th century by a monk but we do not know whether that monk composed it, or whether it had been composed earlier...."

    Thanks

If there is anything that can be said for Summer in Canada is that it is a celebration.
I'll get the next round, keep em' coming.

    Summer has come in
    Loudly sing, cuckoo!
    Seeds grow and meadows bloom
    and the woods spring anew
    Sing cuckoo!

    Ewe bleats after lamb,
    Calf lows after cow,
    Bullock leaps, billygoat farts,
    Merrily sing, cuckoo!
    Cuckoo, cuckoo!
    Well you sing cuckoo,
    Nor cease you ever now!
    Sing cuckoo now, Sing, cuckoo!

Well, here I am six months later with an unfinished post but that I promise I will one day make a significant contribution to. Who knows? It may be astronomically important.
