My wife's Outlook 2003 pst file is huge (1.8GB). However, I tried compressing it and it virtually remained the same size. Any suggestions as to how to copress this monster?

If it's a unicode PST file I wouldn't be concerned. If you want to shrink it, look for large attachments (sort by the attachment icon), save and remove them from the message. Then force a compress and see if you gain space. If not and you are still concerned, split the file into more than one PST.

Why not archive the older messages and then compress the file again?
