    installing Windows 98

I am helping a friend install 98 on a 90 Mhz computer with 32 Megs. of ram. It is 173 minute install. At 12 minutes after the first reboot an error occurs -
ERROR STARTING PROGRAM THE SHELL32.DLL FILE IS LINKED TO MISSING EXPORT COMCTL32.DLL:386
    Will reinstalling fix it?

    Re: installing Windows 98

    Thanks Ian,
It work to install the control panel and system settings complete. On reboot it gave the same comctl32.dll error. I tried to extract it again, but it gave a message in a box where many files can be listed and said the computer need to be restarted to repair the comctl32.dll or it is in use. It also said the installed comctl32.dll is older then what is in the system . It occurred to me that the two comctl32.xxx and comctl32.xxz is what is being seen by the operating system. How can I delete a file name?
Do you have any other suggestions?
