    Change Tooltips (2000)

Does anybody know how to alter the text of custom Tooltips for macros?
I am aware that Word breaks up the name of the macro into words for the tooltip based on capitalisation. However I would like to be able to finetune that result

    Thanks.

This is the code you are looking for:

    CommandBars("Standard").Controls(6).TooltipText = "Your Tip Here"

For the Controls argument, the count starts with 1 from the left of the toolbar.

Since this isn't necessarily a permanent macro you can use the above line by:
    - Press <Alt F11> to open the VBA Editor
    - Press <Ctrl G> to open an Immediate window
    - Copy/Paste the code in the Immediate window
    - Make your modifications, move to the end of the line and press <Enter>

If you have additional ToolTips to change, repeat the last step.

    Well
