I must be losing it in my old age, but I'm having trouble with Access 2007 (but compiling it for a system running 2000). For some reason I cannot change data when in a form -- it doesn't respond to the keyboard. Darmed if I can figure out why it's blocking access to the data in the table. Is there some blocked setting or something? I don't recall ever havng this trouble before, but then I find 2007 with it's ribbons rather confusing and not handy at all.

    Chuck,

Any chance you could upload the DB?

First thing I'd check is that the record source is updateable.

If you are using a query as the recordsource rather than just a table,

go into the recordsource query and see if you can edit directly into it.

I'm still not sure what the problem was, but I solved it by starting again from scratch instead of trying to copy and change an older similar DB. Thanks for your help. I'm still struggling with 2007 -- they moved everything around and in some cases it was definitely not helpful.
