Hi, can anyone suggest a solution to a flickering problem that has developed on my monitor. It has worked well for over a year but rarely stabilises now. Full brightness will not come through although it is trying to. I've updated the driver for my ATI HD Radeon 4800 series card. I've switched Samsung's software 'Magic Bright' & 'Magic Colour' on & off. Tried resetting the frequency but only allows 59 or 60 hertz. Also adjusted the ATI Overdrive settings and dropped the High Performance Memory clock settings down but again no luck.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Sal

Have you tried to load new drivers? If so and this has not solved the problem, it may be a monitor going bad. Sorry!

the back of your monitor is a flourescent bulb called the backlight. It sounds like it might be going out......

Thank you for the replies. I fear you are both right about it being a monitor problem. I've just telephoned Samsung and they were actually really pleasant to deal with. Within 5 days an engineer will call me to arrange for the old monitor to be swapped for a new one. Thank goodness for their 3 year guarantee.

That is excellent news. It's nice to see a manufacturer who stands behind their products.
