CDRW mdb is read-only, need help (A2K Pro)

I have a new computer and I am probably not doing this right.

I am making a database program for a school. I want to take the data and new program to the school on a CDRW.

I can only get it to be Read-only when I view it on their computer. Even if I transfer it to their hard drive. I can not add data.

    What am I doing?

In Windows Explorer, right click the file, select 'Properties'. Uncheck Read Only.

all on the hard drive, that is.

I have checked the databases on my hard drive. They are checked archive. So...if I uncheck all the boxes and save again to my CDRW, I will be ok...right. How come they are like that in the first place?

If it's that easy, I'm glad and relieved and yet angry with myself for not knowing. Thank you!!!

when u put them on a CD, they become write protected because most CD drives are only readers, not writers. It's when u bring them OFF the CD onto the harddrive that u need to change their protection
