    Dear Loungers,

Is it possible to have a list of items such as cars with, for example, a colour attribute held in one of the columns. So for the 7 cars that I have listed the column contains the following values red, blue, green, red, red, black green. Can I search the column and come up with the unique set of values used, in this example: red, blue, green, black? And note that this unique list is those used rather than those possible, so the column itself may be driven by a list of 13 possible colours. I keep almost getting there but not quite so am quietly going mad,

    thank you.... liz

p.s. this should all be in a database but my client can't do that!

    Liz,

I just worked it out and then refreshed my browser and seems Tim beat me to the draw.

Anyway here's the same solution with maybe a little more info?

You'll notice that if you name your ranges as I did the Advanced filter will fill in the ranges automatically.
