Starting in Firefox 3.6.4, the Adobe Flash plugin, and the Silverlight and QuickTime plugins, are loaded in a separate executable called plugin-container.exe. If you view your running processes in the Windows task manager, you may see it there consuming prodigious resources.

    More info: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/...ugin-container

Some people have had problems since this change, ranging from Flash content not working correctly to firewalls blocking internet access for plugin-container.exe.

If you are not able to successfully solve a problem with these plugins in recent versions of Firefox, you can try temporarily disabling this new feature. Instructions can be found here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Plugin-con...ash_protection

If you find other/better solutions, please post about them.
