Opening a HTML table in Excel (Excel 2000)

    All,
I'm not sure if this is the right place but here goes. I want to create a web page with a HTML table in it but I want it to open in Excel when the user clicks on the hyperlink to the page. I know there are ways of doing it using ASP techniques but I seem to remember something about changing the content type to text/csv in the meta tags.
Can anyone point me in the right direction ?
    Apologies if this is mis-directed..

How about thinking out side the box for a second here.

Lets say you create the table in MS-Excel FIRST and then Publish it to your page. Although making a table in HTML is simple, it is much easier to do in Excel. Plus the link to Excel will be generated automatically by the OLE/DDE/ what have you these days.

I guess this will be a nice solution, if you think it works.
