On the recommendation of Lincoln in the July 22 Newsletter , I downloaded PureTex, an excellent utility which I am using regularly. I am running Win 7 and am frustrated by the persistent security message I get at boot 'the publisher could not be verified....' I've tried everything including altering the security settings in IE8 to ‘not check for certificates’ etc, with no luck. Is this a problem of compatibility with Win 7? Is anyone else experiencing this annoyance, and more importantly does anyone have a solution please?

I like to keep formatting sometimes and not others. When I need to lose the formatting I just paste into Notepad and then copy the text out again.

Can you post a link to this "PureTex" program?
All I find is NOT related to any program.

The issue you are having, is because something at startup is wanting to be started and your protection software is NOT allowing it to.
Check the options of this program about starting up options.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

As I said this utility was featured in the Windows Secrets newsletter (http://www.stevemiller.net/puretext/)
As the article said - it needs to be in the start menu and residing in the notification area,
Thanks for any help you, or others can offer.

Well the link above does not work, but I found the info.
I would not waste my time installing this program, when in most any program one can do a "Paste Special" and then select "Plain Text" and all formatting and images are stripped from the pasting.
